Hello! Happy Monday, how was your weekend? Yesterday I spent my Sunday giving my bedroom a thorough cleaning. I keep wanting to say “Spring Cleaning” but that would imply that I am either really early or really late, so I have decided to stick with “Autumn Cleaning” for now! Same concept either way!
I love this time of year, and yesterday just felt like the day to get rid of some stuff, clear the space and begin to prepare for winter. It’s funny the way we only associate this process with Spring Time, but I feel it is equally as important to mark all the other season changes and cycles of the year too 🙂 So that’s what I did! Well I made a start anyways! Yesterday was a cleaning day, and next weekend I hope to have a de-cluttering day. Out with the old, in with the new!!! Huzzah! (sorry, that felt like a Huzzah moment!)
I am excited about winter’s icy approach. The chance to wear woolly clothes, warm boots and settle down beside an open fire, oh and drink hot chocolate again, hmmm lest we not forget the hot chocolate 🙂 I am also excited about all the inspiration winter will provide me for designs of hats, scarfs, mittens etc. Watch this space, as they say!
So that is just one of the ways I am beginning to prepare for winter. How about you? Do you have any traditions that you do every year to celebrate the changing seasons? Hope you have a great week, talk Friday 🙂
