Easter & Roadtrippin’

How I spent Easter!Happy Friday!!! We have been really enjoying some beautiful sunny weather here in Ireland the past couple of weeks, and I have been trying to make the most of it while also remaining (somewhat!) productive. *lets hear the mantra* ….Life is about balance!

Anyhue, Easter was a funny time for me, a mixed bag as they say. I was pretty sick for a day or so, and it took me another day or so to recover from being sick from the first day…or so. Before I knew it Easter was almost over 😦

I spent some time in the garden, mostly standing around, staring, and thinking about all the work I have to do on it. Yes, I am very good at that πŸ™‚ But I did get some work done. Progress was made!!! Hurrah!

To celebrate all the progress, and assist in my general wellness, I then took a few days off and was very lucky to head off on some road trips around the South West of Ireland with my friends. The weather was absolutely stunning and everything (and dare I say everyone) sparkled πŸ™‚ I know I am biased, but Ireland is such a beautiful and diverse country, you really don’t have to travel too far to find many gems.

On our magical mystery tour we took in the Mitchelstown Caves (or the “very dark caves” as I like to call them, Fr. Ted reference there!) Cobh in County Cork and Killarney, The Gap of Dunloe & some of the Ring of Kerry in County Kerry. Two very fun, very scenic and very special days were had.

Moll's Gap

A nice way to celebrate my birthday; tea & a chocolate cake (gluten free of course!) at Moll’s Gap on the Ring of Kerry. Tea with a view πŸ™‚

See…standing and staring….I seem to do that a lot. Thinking very deep thoughts no doubt πŸ™‚ Thanks to my friend Berit for the beautiful shot.

As well as having lot’s of fun ( & my first ice-cream of the year!) I also gained tons of inspiration and motivation. It really is the little things that make life so great and I am on a mission to celebrate them as much as I can πŸ™‚ But that is a story for another day πŸ™‚

Have a great day πŸ™‚

Heather
