Happy New Year!

New Year

Happy New Year! How’s it going for you so far?

So any plans? Goals? Resolutions? Ambitions? History has seen me makingΒ  lists of resolutions, only to either a) forget them or b) feel really bad about none of them working or c) all of the above 😦 But not this yearΒ  πŸ™‚ This year I have decided to try something a little different and instead just make 5 goals. Within those 5 I have tried to include things that are reasonably achievable and some that are maybe a little more adventurous πŸ™‚ Goals and I haveΒ  never been the best of friends in the past, but I figure the New Year is a great time to make new friends, right?

So let’s do this 2016, let’s be friends πŸ™‚

So whether you make pages of resolutions or just decide to continue being awesome, I wish you all the very best for the coming year πŸ™‚ Have at it πŸ™‚

Happy crocheting! See you next time!

Monday Monday…

Plans….so good to me πŸ™‚ Hello and a very happy Monday to you! So, it’s been pretty quiet around here lately. In fact I think I just saw a tumbleweed roll past. But hey,Β  it’s time to roll back the covers, blow off the dust, etc. etc.

*Side note* It’s cold today, not cold cold, but still, cold, brrrrr. Continue reading

Neat how things can be flipped around all because of a little shift in perspective,Β huh?! Continue reading

To Autumn

from “To Autumn” by John Keats.

“Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,β€”
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,
And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
Among the river sallows, borne aloft
Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft
The red-breast whistles from a garden-croft;
And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.”

On the Hook!

Howdy doody peeps, a very happy Wednesday to one and all πŸ™‚ It’s coming you know….Halloween…(I said Halloween in a scary voice, just so you know!) So this week I have been working on some cute crochet decorations to spook up your holiday this year πŸ™‚

Any guesses as to what it might be? Answers on a postcard please to… ah who am I kidding, it’s fairly obvious that it’s a pumpkin! I am fairly happy with the overall shape, but I now have to face my arch nemesisembroidery … dun dun dunnnnnnnn 😦 I don’t know why, but I always seem to find adding facial pieces to any amigurumi pieces the most difficult part and it’s usually where I mess up 😦 But where there’s a will and all that. So I will focus, I will take my time and I will adorn my crochet pumpkin with facial features, gosh darn it!Β  Who’s with me? O yeah, nobody because I haven’t published the pattern yet, d’oh.

Happy crocheting! See you next time!
